B7L9 Art Station - the best art galleries in Tunis
B7L9 Art Station is hard to miss as the building has black and white stripes. B7L9 is located in the Bahr Lazreg, area of La Marsa in Tunis. This art station was founded in 2019. Being the first permanent location for Kamel Lazaar Foundation.
Kamel Lazaar Foundation has an impressive art collection mainly from the MENA region. B7L9 Art Station is used for exhibitions to share the KLF art collection and to promote Tunisia as a place for contemporary art. The KLF collection of contemporary and modern art contains more than 1300 artworks, paintings, photographs, drawings, etc.

Selma Feriani Gallery
I want to share another great art gallery in Sidi Bou Said. Selma Feriani Gallery was established in 2013 by gallerist Selma Feriani. Its artworks represent artists from the MENA region and also other international artists.
The goal of the Selma Feriani Gallery is to support young artists and share their works with the public. The gallery has a program of five exhibitions per year representing 18 artists. You find the currently represented artist, here. Selma’s idea is to follow her own taste in contemporary art and shares the artworks that she could imagine owning.

Will travel as a solo English speaking female to Tunis in early September. Will stay in La Marsa and visit Tunis Medina, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, and Hammamet. Are those cities safe for solo women travelers? Also can you recommend any English speaking guides? Thanks.

I am happy to hear that you have decided to travel to Tunisia! I would say that all the cities you mentioned are safe for female solo travelers. As in any other country, I advise keeping an eye on your belongings and I wouldn’t walk alone during the night. Unfortunately, I don’t know any English-speaking guide. But in general, Tunisian people are super hospitable and warm-hearted. So, if you find an English-speaking Tunisian, I am sure they will be happy to guide you. Also, you can ask if the hotel reception has some connections with guides.
